‘The King’ took the music world by storm in the late 1950s and had people everywhere wishing they were him. Unfortunately, he passed away 20 years later while relieving himself on the toilet bowl. The bowl that was the final resting place for this icon sits in the bathroom of his Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tennessee.
Thomas Crapper’s Toilet
You might associate his name with going to the bathroom but despite popular belief, he did not invent the toilet. He invented the ball cock and a number of different additions to the modern toilet but he was not the originator. He did open his own toilet manufacturing company in the 1860s and he will be forever associated with this bathroom fixture.

The most expensive toilet in the world is not even on the planet. The Russian space administration designed a bathroom system that they sold to NASA for over $19 million dollars. The toilet is designed to operate in zero-gravity conditions and hold the person using it in place. Believe it or not, this was a major problem for the first astronauts in space.

This Japanese toilet is probably the best version that mankind has to offer. It moves the seat up and down automatically just in case you forget. We could all use extra help sometimes. It also comes equipped with a self-cleaning feature and a heated seat.
The 1st Toilet
Sir John Harrington, the godson of Queen Elizabeth, invented the first flushing toilet in the mid-1500s. His flushing toilet cemented its place in the bathrooms of the wealthy for over 200 years, until Alexander Cummings invented the first water closet in 1775.
